Babbo was hailed with a glowing 3-star review from the New York Times shortly after its opening and Babbo has since been met with much critical acclaim. The menu incorporates the best and freshest seasonal produce, Italian cheeses, meat, game and seafood, accented with fine Italian olive oils, traditional aceto balsamico, and many unusual ingredients that will surprise and delight.
We are looking for a FULL TIME person to join the Babbo Ristorante Management team. Our Floor Manager is a service fcoused postion ideal for a candidate who wants to further their career in the service industry. Successful candidates will have a strong knowledge base of Italian food, culture and wine. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Managing and inspiring the entire staff of the restaurant and coordinating their work
• Leading by example
• Responsible for increasing the business of the restaurant
• Management of Open Table/Guest Center to maximize reservations
• Able to perform the duties of all staff members through excellent food and drink menu knowledge
• Ownership of back office operations
• Fulfilling special projects in a timely and organized fashion
• Coordinating and managing the schedule of various departments
• Provide customer support by resolving complaints regarding service or food quality
• Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations
• Recruiting, training and motivating staff
• Maintaining high standard of hygiene, health and safety
Requirements:
• Full-time position with flexible schedule (lunch, dinners, weekends and holidays);
- 1 year of fine dining experience, preferably NYC
- Italian Wine and Cuisine knowledge is preferred;
- Ability to handle high volume/fast-pace;
- Passionate, willing to learn and grow;
