Title Breakfast Server


Reports to Food & Beverage Director


Overview It is the primary responsibility of the Server to provide genuine hospitality and excellent service.  The Server is the leader of their station and stays in constant communication with the service team. Servers should have strong organization and prioritization skills. They manage all guest requests while simultaneously directing support staff in executing service. Servers are responsible for all aspects of service and must hold themselves and their teammates to the highest standards.


Our Company Fitler Club is a members-only lifestyle club for the leaders and influencers shaping the future of Philadelphia. Fitler Club houses a long list of luxury amenities including dining, social spaces, hotel rooms, 25,000 sq. ft gym, lap pool, spa, co-working, and event spaces. Fitler Club has also formed a long-term partnership with thank you nyc, a hospitality group led by Will Guidara, former co-owner and operator of  Eleven Madison Park in NYC. In addition to Eleven Madison Park, their former group owned and operated the food and beverage programs at the NoMad Hotels in New York, London, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as Davies and Brook at Claridge's in London. Through their dedication to hospitality and relentless focus on service they led Eleven Madison Park to several award wins, most notably the title of #1 Restaurant in the World in 2017.



Responsibilities

  • Always provide gracious service and genuine hospitality
  • Greets guests in a positive, friendly, and welcoming manner
  • Must work as a team and pro-actively assist all employees in servicing guest needs with a controlled sense of urgency
  • Follow uniform and appearance standards
  • Executes opening, closing, and ongoing side-work
  • Knowledge of all food menu items, specifications, and allergens
  • Knowledge of bar products, offerings, proprietary and classic cocktails
  • Knowledge of wine, liquor, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
  • Executes the service guidelines and upholds service standards outlined by management
  • Consistently follows sequence of service, utilizing all proper procedures and techniques standardized by management
  • Communicates the needs of the guests to kitchen and management. Informs management of guest reactions and comments. Assists management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service
  • Accurately describes and sells the menu, including menu changes and daily additions
  • Responsible for entering in orders and reconciling checks in the POS system
  • Actively seeks ways to enhance and personalize the guest experience
  • Is aware of all upcoming orders, status of tables expecting food, and relays this information to the Chefs and Management
  • Oversees ongoing table maintenance, coordinates service at the table
  • Maintain table cleanliness
  • Check in with tables to ensure dishes are prepared properly
  • Continues to monitor guests for satisfaction during the entirety of their visit
  • Itemizes bills correctly and efficiently to secure payment 
  • Assist in making sure their station is stocked and ready for service
  • Helps promote a safe and clean environment for guests and co-workers
  • Participates in service/culinary education sessions
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, and energetic
  • A strong commitment to excellence in hospitality
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance
  • Punctual. Responsible for regular and reliable attendance
  • Dependable and available to work on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
  • A working understanding of wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages and their proper service
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality
  • Broad knowledge of tableside service, food, wine, beer, and liquor
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all guests and team members
  • Working knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems and operations
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($10.00 - $12.00) plus tips
