LaLou, a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar on Vanderbilt Avenue in the heart of Prospect Heights, Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Line Cook. Its market-driven lunch and dinner menus showcase elevated but approachable wine-friendly food with a focus on locality and seasonality. The 150+ bottle list of natural, biodynamic and small production wines, is a collaboration between friends and former colleagues Joe Campanale (restaurateur, beverage expert, Food & Wine Sommelier of the Year) and Dave Foss (a hospitality veteran and former Anfora wine buyer).
The ideal candidate must have at least 1+ years of kitchen experience and be passionate, goal-oriented and value-driven. He/she/they will work with the kitchen team to ensure that this elevated approach to food and hospitality is brought to life, while maintaining organizational, financial and training responsibilities. This critical position will report directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
