Bar Blondeau at Wythe Hotel is seeking talented servers to join our team!
Bar Blondeau is located on the 6th floor of Wythe Hotel. Bar Blondeau serves a seafood focused, French-leaning menu of mostly small plates with natural wines and craft cocktails in an elevated hotel bar space with terrace seating and Manhattan skyline views. This is a high-volume operation.
Candidates must have experience with ambitious culinary and beverage programs and steps of service informed by fine dining principles. While we are a casual venue, we operate at a high level of care for all things food & beverage. Our guests have a high dining and drinking IQ. Our service style is defined by studied unfussiness - fun, informed, casual, but never sloppy or careless. We maintain a high degree of engagement with our guests experiences without being overly solicitous or precious.
Both part time and full time positions are available. Weekend availability is required and is a condition of employment. Please do not respond if you can not work weekends, including Sundays, as we won't be able to provide you with a schedule.
Awareness of NYC DOH guidelines is very helpful. Strong food and beverage knowledge is key. Strong personal communication skills, personal warmth, a sense of humor, organization, punctuality and the ability to remain calm under pressure are key attributes for success in this position. Our sections are not small. Servers are active in table maintenance, running, bussing and drink running in addition to taking tables' orders and engaging with guests.
This is not an appropriate first-time server position.
