Major Food Group has opened CARBONE and CARBONE VINO in the Dallas Design District and is looking for Line Cooks to join our culinary team!

CARBONE is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick.The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York, where delicious, exceptionally well-prepared food was served in settings that were simultaneously elegant, comfortable and unpretentious.

CARBONE VINO, located just across the courtyard is a new concept from Major Food Group celebrating timeless artisanship and the most coveted wines of Italy. Complete with a thousand bottle wine list and 30
wines by the quartino. The menu features an extensive selection of handmade pastas, Sicilian pizzas, fresh gelato, and signature entrées like spicy rigatoni and fried veal chop prepared “your way”.



LINE COOK RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
-Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
-Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
-Clean up station and take care of leftover food
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

REQUIREMENTS:

-2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred 
-Team-orientated and positive attitude
-Strong communication skills a must
