Chanson Le Salon/Patisserie Chanson is seeking a professional and self-motivated Line Cook. Training and work will begin right away with our Executive Chef Frederic Robert. The Line Cook will follow the brand's specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- A culinary school diploma is a plus
About our Executive Chef:Chef Frédéric Robert grew up in Burgundy, France where he discovered his passion for food working at a bakery. After receiving his Culinary Diploma, he pursued an international career working in Ireland, Germany, Austria, and China, in 5 Star Hotels, as well as starred Michelin restaurants. He was part of the opening team of Multi award-winning restaurant Ultraviolet in Shanghai by Paul Pairet (3 Michelin Stars, World 50 Best Restaurant). Frédéric has held the position of Chef de cuisine and Executive pastry Chef and before joining Chanson, he was the Executive Chef of The Baccarat Hotel. Frédéric is looking forward to his new role, he is always looking to push boundaries to find new ways to introduce food and is thrilled to collaborate with Chanson International.
