Chanson Le Salon at TriBeCa is seeking a self-motivated server to join our team!

Candidates must have experience in restaurants with ambitious culinary and beverage programs, with steps of service informed by fine dining principles. We operate at a high level of care for all things food & beverage. Fine-dining, wine & Liquor knowledge is a plus. 1-2 years of experience working in the New York City Hospitality industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes beverage service and pairing details
• Advise and educate guests on beverage based on their personal tastes and food choices
• Ensure wine are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware
• Proficient in building a relationship with guests to facilitate return visits or private event bookings
• Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction
• Ensure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.
• Quickly and correctly transport food from the kitchen to the guest, if needed
• Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
• Stocking and preparing service related items
• Performing opening and closing duties to standards required
• Setting up and detailing dining room and stations to standards required
• Assisting in cleaning and polishing wares
• Assisting in bathroom checks
• Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing. (Toast POS system knowledge is a plus)
• Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service
• Maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
• Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
• Constantly pushing to creatively interpret positive guest relations and industry standards
• Adhere to covid-19 related health and safety standards

Skills & Requirements

• 2+ years of fine dining experience
• Must possess strong empathy and team spirit
• Exceptional communication, service and floor skills
• Ability to work in an organized and meticulous manner with strong attention to small details
• Solution-focused, receptive to constructive criticism and general performance feedback
