Defloured is a local, gluten-free bakery located on the northside of Chicago. We are passionate about what we do, and are looking for like-minded, hardworking Decorators who are up for the job – big or small.

Responsibilities:
- Build and decorate layer and sheet cakes for retail, event and wholesale customers
- Design and decorate themed cookies
- Light fondant work
- Bake cakes / cupcakes and mix frostings as needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, consistency and organization is a must
- Work well independently and enjoy collaborating with others
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated and able to follow instructions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 2 years of prior decorating experience preferred
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
- Understanding of allergens preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs independently
- Able to move safely, including bend, kneel, slide, push and pull with up to 25 lbs of product
- Able to tolerate arm/hot temperatures (at times) while maintaining a good attitude
COVID-19 Precautions:
Defloured continues to serve our guests outside the bakery; only staff is allowed inside. Current staff is fully vaccinated, and testing is available as needed. Personal protective equipment provided or required. We will monitor and follow local, state and federal guidelines, and sanitizing procedures are in place.
Hours per week – Second shift / weekends. 10-19 and 20-29. Some holidays and weekends required during our busy seasons.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($16.00 - $20.00) plus tips
