Job Details

Atrium restaurant in Los Feliz is looking for a well-established sous chef to join the executive chef and executive sous chef.  We are a high volume, busy, neighborhood estaurant that is open for 7 dinner and 2 brunch shifts per week.  This is a full time management position that will include hands-on cooking and overseeing kitchen operations alongside the executive chef.  That being said, we beleive strongly in work life balance and this goes for sous chef postions as well.  You will not be expected to work 14hr days by any means. We have a solid staff in place and this isn't a kitchen full of burnt out cooks and chefs.

Candidates to be considered must have the following experience/qualifications:

-Working knowledge of all kitchen stations including expo

-Food costing 

-Recipe development

-Scheduling

-Hiring 

-Team leadership/Training staff

-Working well under pressure

-Great knife skills

-ServeSafe certified

-Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles.

-Great communications skills

-good team work and strong work ethics

-Professional attitude

-Sense of urgency

-Problem solving

This role is for an experienced professional that is immersed in food and beverage culture. You should understand what’s going on in that world and be inspired. Seasonal, thoughtful and progressive changes will be needed to keep us learning and evolving.
