Roberta’s opened in January of 2008 in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the restaurant has since become a neighborhood institution and culinary destination.
Events by Roberta’s consist of full scale events both in our garden space and offsite at venues all throughout NYC and beyond. Our events are the product of awesome people serving delicious, beautiful food.
We are currently looking for detail oriented and self-motivated experienced cooks to support our in house chefs in executing our busy event schedule for the 2022 season.
Qualifications
Passion & knowledge for delicious food
Knowledge of a variety of cuisines
At least 2 years of fine dining or catering experience preferred
Ability to work well & communicate in a fast paced environment
Must have a positive “can do” and team oriented attitude
Flexible Schedule
A culinary degree is preferred
Ability to drive a commercial van is a plus
NYC Food Handlers Certificate preferred
Responsibilities
Support the kitchen team with prep prior to events
Execute high quality presentation, and execution of all catered events
are met and executed throughout menu plating, preparation, delivery, set-up, service, and breakdown of events
Perform other job-related duties such as packing, loading and unloading vans, meeting with in house chefs and event director to discuss menus, timelines and execution
Maintain a neat & organized work station by complying with NYC Health Department standards
