L’ENTRÉE on Church St in Tribeca is currently looking for experienced Baristas to join our Front of House (FOH) team. Our café is open daily from 8a until late afternoon, serving a full range of espresso-based beverages, fresh pâtisserie, and a Petit Déjeuner, featuring authentically prepared Parisian classics.
This is a key FOH position, as you will be interacting with guests, employees, and owners daily. Your primary responsibility will be to mix and serve a full range of café beverages either directly or through serving staff. We use Malongo Coffee (Imported from Nice, France) and a Simonelli Appia II Espresso machine for all café items.
Note: The ability to communicate conversationally in both English and French is preferred for this role but not required. Must be legally permitted to work in the US and have experience working with manual espresso machines to apply.
Ideal candidates possess:
- 1-3 years relevant café experience as a Barista - Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail - Ability to work mornings, weekends and holidays
Additional requirements include strong organization, time management skills, and attention to detail which contributes to an elevated hospitality experience for all guests.
Additional duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintaining the general cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee station and bar areas. - Communicating the needs of the guests to support staff, servers, managers and the culinary team. - Delivering coffee/tea orders, when required, to tables/bar in a timely manner, and to the correct guests. - Full knowledge of French and Italian coffee offerings and the ability to execute each item flawlessly. - Re-stocking and organizing coffee stations and performing opening/closing procedures as directed by management. - Ensuring all perishable items (i.e. dairy) follow FIFO throughout service - Assisting the team with packaging food for deliveries. - Assisting with additional responsibilities, if needed, during down times - Compliance with Department of Health and company sanitation standards — NYC DOHMH Food Handlers Certification a plus but not required for this role.
