Joe's Imports is a Michelin Bib Gourmand Recipient and located in Chicago's Fulton Market District of the West Loop. We are looking to hire an ambitious and hard working Jounior Sous Chef/Lead Line Cook that is excited to be in the kitchen and eager to learn. Pay based on experience (Starting at $23 per hour).

We are an intimate Wine Bar concept, with Mediterranean influenced food focusing on small, sharable plates, seasonal ingredients, and letting the food shine for what it is. The menu is designed to be creative and playful, while remaining approachable. All menu items are made in house from pastas to pastries.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the preparation all menu items 
• Prepare menu items and necessary ingredients according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests and presentations 
• Follow all prescribed portioning controls and maintain food safety and quality standards 

• Maintain menu item counts and communicate to management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity 
• Accurately account for all items coming out of the station being worked 

Qualifications 

• Ability to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends 
• Team player with a positive attitude 

• Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift 
• Lift and move up to 20 pounds
