We are seeking to hire a dynamic and experienced Beverage Manager to oversee and lead our award winning wine and spirits program in NYC. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a beverage managerial role is required. The ideal candidate will work closely with team members to provide exceptional, engaged service to our customers and promote an environment of respect, support, and grace in the dining room.

Duties & Essential Functions:
- Maintain a comprehensive and orderly wine list in line with the core values of the restaurant
- Expand or contract offerings in order to effectively drive sales in conversation with the Head of Beverage Operations
- Develop, implement, and drive beverage programs and promotions to build repeat guest business, grow word of mouth, and drive sales while effectively controlling costs
- Develop Steps of Service and Standard Operating Procedures for the beverage programs in conjunction with the General Manager and Head of Beverage Operations
- Hire, train, and mentor the restaurant’s bar and sommelier teams; provide effective coaching and guidance to individuals, maintain high standards for team performance overall
- Develop and execute regular educational programs and training on cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine for the service team
- Oversee the bar program as assisted by the Head Bartender; monitor sales and cost of goods, oversee regular cocktail program changes
- Develop and execute sales and profit plans in line with budgetary goals
- Ensure, and be accountable for, profitability of the store by growing sales and controlling cost of goods
- Maintain and utilize daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting tools as directed by the General Manager and Head of Beverage Operations
- Ensure proper team member coverage per the needs of business while maintaining target labor costs
- Oversee all cash management functions; Maintain proper loss prevention standards, including reviewing cash handling procedures, deposits, and safe procedures
- Opens or closes Cote; completes opening or closing checklist, as applicable
- Manages hourly employees in their daily responsibilities at Cote, providing clear, effective direction
- Prepares staff schedules for Cote, and/or as directed by the General Manager
- Previous NYC hospitality experience preferred (5+ years).
- Full time commitment to hospitality industry.
- Must be able to lift heavy boxes (at least 50 lbs).
- Ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods of time over multiple floors.
- Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing is required.
- Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as the business dictates.
- Must be of legal age according to NY State regulations to serve alcohol (18 years).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- New York City food handler’s certification.
- Salary based on experience.
