Frenchette Bakery is seeking an experienced barista/counter person with a passion for specialty coffee and a focus on hospitality to join our team.
We pride ourselves on being a true Tribeca neighborhood spot, providing a welcoming and positive experience to all our guests.
Our menu includes artisan breads, viennoiserie, sandwiches & pizz'ette, using high quality, organic and locally sourced ingredients (and of course delicious coffee!).
The ideal candidate must have experience in a similar role (must be competent "dialing in", setting up an espresso machine, grinder and coffee maker, preparing espresso-based coffee drinks, cold brew, etc.), maintain a high standard product, and ability to do latte art in a high volume environment.
We work as a close knit and supportive team which means making coffee, serving guests (counter service), accurately packaging orders, and re-stocking stations as and when required.
At least 1+ years of barista experience, plus:
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment
- Teamwork focused
- Ensure tidiness and cleanliness
- Product knowledge of breads, viennoiserie, lunch items
- Experience with packaging foods
- Process payments through Square POS
- Flexibility with schedule (Monday-Sunday, weekends required)
- Part/Full time availability
- Able to lift between 5-15 lbs
