Bottega Louie Restaurant & Patisserie debuted in DTLA in 2009 and has since gained a legendary reputation as a world class patisserie and luxury Italian restaurant. We recently opened our second location in West Hollywood and have opportunities for hospitality professionals to join our team.

As our organization continues to expand, we are looking for a Head Baker that embody the following:

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of managers while leading a staff of 15+ employees
  • A genuine passion for providing the highest quality of goods as we maintain a culture of excellence in all we do
  • Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and the ability to adhere to Bottega Louie standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • The availability to work 10 – 12 hours per day, including late nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating recipes, ordering ingredients, and coordinating baking schedules while focusing on quality and consistency
  • Ensure that all baked goods are handled with the highest level of care while having a strong communication with the team to ensure the best working conditions 
  • Daily creations include, but are not limited to croissants, a variety of breads, and assorted baked goods
  • Maintain an organized and clean kitchen
  • Implement and maintain operational check lists including opening, closing, and mid-shift task lists
  • Implement and maintain systems to create efficiencies and improve the quality of the Bakery Kitchen operations
  •  
  • Demonstrate leadership by displaying job expertise, a positive attitude, initiative and have excellent communication skills
  • Understand and embody the Bottega Louie lifestyle, mission and brand


Qualified Head Bakers must have the following experience and requirements:

  • At least (5) years of experience required in a similar position, ideally in a high production
  • Knowledgeable and well versed in breads, and European-style pastries
  • Required to exhibit helpful, supportive communication style and are collaborative within a structured job environment
  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Required to perform manual labor for up to 8 hours a day
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and have a great attitude.
