Pastry Sous Chef

As a Multi-Unit Pastry Sous Chef for Creative Culinary Managemnet Company, you are expected to produce the daily supply of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods needed for service each day for our venues. Must be able to work in fast-paced production, have close attention to detail, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Growth opportunities are available to team members that demonstrate admirable work ethic, teamwork, and hospitality.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce high quality, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards
  • Ensure proper plating, presentation, and pacing of dessert items.
  • Make sure that the professional equipment is in good conditions and signal any malfunction before it affects the staff or the clients
  • Successfully manage time and resources
  • Continue to work with Executive Chefs to develop the current menu
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment in the dining room and all service stations always.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with others by promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious working climate.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years professional Pastry experience.
  • Pastry/Culinary School strongly preferred.
  • A strong culinary background in premium service restaurants, preferably in NYC
  • The ability to commit to 2 -3 years or more in a position
  • Have long term goals in the service industry
  • A focus on hospitality and guest rapport alongside development of a regular clientele
