Job Details
Greek restaurant in the heart of Logan Square is seeking a part-time Carryout Dispatch.

Carryout Dispatch are responsible for taking carryout orders, packaging and checking accuracy, collection of payment, and ensuring all aspects of professional service and guest satisfaction. Prior experience with Toast is a plus! Prior customer service experience is a must. Andros is open for dinner service 7 nights a week plus brunch service Saturday-Sunday.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately take and package food and beverage orders for guests placing carryout orders
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs • Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
  • Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy
  • Answer telephones, take orders, and messages
  • Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures
  • Understand and respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and menu
  • Follow all steps of service
  • Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including Toast POS system, Rewards program, Gift Card processing, Credit Card terminals, and third party delivery platforms
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Must be Servsafe certified, or willing to attain certification within 3 days of hire
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed
