We are looking for a kitchen manager/sous chef who is highly organized, dependable, clean, and efficient to join our team! Help us manage and oversee prep and service for our high volume inventive deli. Please learn more about us at www.steingoldsdeli.com
 
Steingold’s of Chicago is a new-school delicatessen that utilizes premium ingredients, global inspiration, and modern cooking techniques to create new twists on deli classics. Responsibilities

• Train and develop cooks and bakers to company standards
• Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange stock accordingly, ordering and inventory applications, FIFO, and organization of storage for ingredients and prep
• Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards

Qualifications

• Experience working as a sous chef or kitchen manager
• High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines, ServSafe certification preferred
• Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed with a high level of communication skills and emotional responsibility
• Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
