Events by RHC is a boutique off-premise caterer based in New York City.
Inspired by international cuisine, modern dining and exceptional service, we proudly bring a modern take to event dining.

Events by RHC is looking to hire a Pastry Sous Chef.

Pastry Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Peak Pastry Chef on development of new menu items
  • Research and development of recipes
  • Submission of orders and daily inventory
  • Oversee production of all desserts and pastries – Events and Facebook
  • Monthly inventory of pastry goods
  • Liaise with EC and CDC on quality control
  • Maintain cleanliness of Pastry walk-ins and dry storage
  • Oversight of pack out of pastry produced items

Pastry Sous Chef Requirements: 

  • At least 3 years experience as a pastry cook, baker, or similar
  • Knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process
  • Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when required
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
