Omakase Restaurant Group is looking for a passionate and like-minded Chef de Cuisine to become part of our back of house team. The ideal candidate has experience in california cuisine, a minimum of 5 years of experience as a CDC in an upscale high volume setting and michelin star experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
1. Assist Chef in oversight all aspects of daily kitchen operation. Must know all
areas of station prep, and teach other station members correct methods.
2. Oversee all work performed by kitchen employees: speed and accuracy of
prep work, quality and presentation of finished dishes during service.
3. Manage, teach, inspire the cooks. Create a positive environment that
encourages teamwork. Help prep and plate as necessary.
4. Assist Chef in ordering and obtaining of products from farms, farmer’s markets
and vendors Help develop new menu items.
5. Help write and proofread daily menus and ingredients lists .
6. Help to conduct daily line ups and contribute to server’s education.
7. Monitor quality of raw ingredients, ensure that product coming into kitchen is of the highest quality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years experience in an operation with similar quality and size.
