The Floor Manager will demonstrate his/her skills in cultural proficiency, technical expertise and leadership ability.
Role
The person for this role is a proven operational leader with experience managing multiple departments across an organization, is a skilled communicator and proficient at developing talent… ability to lead a complex business and thrive in a critical leadership position.
Responsibilities
o Support the assistant general manager to establish operational systems and processes to drive excellence across the market
o Periodic inspection of all front and back of house areas, observe quality of food preparation and service, food appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of production areas, equipment and employee appearance.
o Manage daily performance of all front of house teams inclusive of scheduling, policy compliance, work performance, attendance, disciplinary action and conflict resolution.
o In partnership with assistant general manager, implement talent development system to attract, recruit and retain top talent to drive company growth.
o In partnership with assistant general manager, establish appropriate staffing levels
o Assist the assistant general manager in developing and leading a cross functional leadership team that drives people development, operational excellence and high levels of guest service satisfaction.
Desired Experiences and Skills
o Minimum 3 years of restaurant managerial leadership experience in upscale high volume fine cuisine restaurants.
o Must have management experience leading restaurant teams in culturally diverse operations environments and geographical locations.
o Previous management experience in Japanese Restaurants is welcomed
o Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to function under time constraints and deadline with attention to detail.
o Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make independent judgment decisions.
o Excellent knowledge and understanding of of food and culinary operations
o Must possess strong coaching and counseling skills
o Must be guest minded and service oriented
