The Fountain Inn is a soon-to-open spirits tasting room and restaurant focusing on American Whisk(e)y located in the Book Hill area of Georgetown, D.C.

We are currently looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about guest experience and spirits to join our opening team.

Candidates must have at least two years of bartending / serving experience and should be confident in their abilities to provide exemplary service to each and every guest. 

Communication skills are a must, as is organization and professionalism.

We believe that learning and growing is quintessential to our success as an establishment and we are excited to welcome more individuals into our space to learn and grow with us.

Bartender expectations

• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Monitor guest intoxication levels and respond appropriately
• Identify belligerent customers, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment
• Maintain a clean working environment by not only being aware of best practices, but suggesting and implementing them as well
• Must be willing to familiarize themselves with our extensive spirits collection and beverage program and appropriately make recommendations to guests
• Be aware of your own strengths and weaknesses and work alongside others
• Ability to scan a room and see what needs to be done and be able to put a mental priority list in place
• Work alongside management to establish and maintain a clean, healthy, efficient, and educational work environment
