After taking the Parisian dining scene by storm, internationally acclaimed chef Daniel Rose returned to his home soil with Le Coucou, his New York City collaboration with restaurateur Stephen Starr. The Roman and Williams-designed space is a gracious modern nod to fine European gastronomy, with crisp linens, flickering candles and whitewashed brick serving as subtle framework for Rose’s vivid cooking. Updating classical French cuisine with charm and verve, Rose shrinks the intercontinental divide separating the City of Light and the Big Apple, proving that the true essence of fine French dining can thrive in any time zone.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and talented Sommelier to join our team!  The position acts as an extension of our Beverage Manager, aiding in staff education, as well as being an intricate member of the service team in providing an unparalleled dining experience for our guests.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Thorough knowledge and appreciation of French Cuisine and Culture
  • Excellent French wine knowledge, with an emphasis on back vintages and producer profiles
  • Minimum 2 years’ hospitality and wine program management experience is preferred 
  • Able to use relevant computer applications (Microsoft word, excel, outlook; restaurant specific software including point-of-sale registers and business metric applications)
  • Thorough understanding of various tools and techniques for wine and food service
  • Ability to meticulously perform tableside wine and food service while under pressure
  • Wine Certification is preferred

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
