Experienced Lead Line Cook

About the Job

Red Fish Grill seeks an experienced, passionate, focused and efficient line cook to join our talented culinary team. Lead Line Cooks are responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods. You will execute upscale, fresh daily, seafood with enthusiasm at a high volume. While crafting our staple and seasonal menu items with precision, you will also work alongside our chefs on a number of different formats and events. As our menu grows and evolves, so will your knife and cooking techniques. Our chefs source and purchase the best local and regional ingredients to prepare and serve menus rooted in Creole tradition with contemporary influences. Tasked with mastering the stations, you will also be accountable for cleanliness and food and equipment safety knowledge that meets Red Fish Grill company standards

Pay and Benefits:

 Ideal Candidates should:

  • Have at least 2 years of related experience or a culinary degree
  • High volume restaurant experience
  • General knife handling, food safety & sanitation knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Have passion for food, exceptional work ethic and dedication
  • Be able work well under pressure
  • Constantly strive to better oneself
  • Maintain positive attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Have the ability to read and follow menus and recipes
  • Complete basic mathematical calculations
The City of New Orleans has mandated requirements to enter certain establishments, including restaurants.  This includes employees of RBRG. 

All applicants MUST (1) provide proof of at least one dose of an approved COVID vaccine -OR- (2) a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours to access a restaurant for an interview / orientation / or once hired.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $20.00)
