RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the station from start to finish
- Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Ensures that all food products have been prepared correctly before cooking and are cooked to perfection per Nami Nori’s recipes and standards, and with careful attention to any special dietary restrictions or approved special requests
- Completes shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards Cooks and prepares food for consumption by the customer and employee meals
- Cleans and stocks station as assigned, by the start of each shift
- Cleans equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion
- Keeps floor in work or service area clean, dry and free of debris
- Maintains a sanitary kitchen and workstation
- Maintains a clean and safe kitchen
- Maintains all kitchen equipment and utensils
- Maintains appropriate portion-control
- Manages proper storing temperatures according to DOH regulations
- Controls and limits waste
- Follows proper rotation procedures according to DOH regulations
- Supports and assists your fellow team members whenever possible
- Communicates problems and ideas to the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or General Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Extremely detail oriented
- 1year of related experience
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
