Short Stories is seeking an experienced (2 yr minimum) Bartender to join our team.  

Short Stories provides guests both an upscale dining experience with an extensive cocktail program and a high-volume late-night scene. A candidate for this position should have fluidity in their experience. Being comfortable running a service station while maintaining bar orders, as well as the speed and detail that comes with high volume bartending experience.

We are requesting a minimum three shifts with flexible availability. 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items
• Cleaning, polishing and maintaining stock of bar glassware and service-ware
• Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing
• Work cleanly and maintain organization during service
• Communicate efficiently and respectfully
• Optimally tailor each guest’s bar experience
• Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction
• Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas
• Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
• Assist in service preparation including but not limited to juicing and cutting fruit, preparing syrups, building garnishes and batches, etc.
• Receiving and working with ingredients for the preparation of bar menu items
• Complete all necessary opening and closing side-work according to standards and specifications set by the team in a timely and professional manner
• Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
• Completing regular deep cleaning of the restaurant
• Must be able to lift & a carry at least 50 pounds
• Must have 2 years + experience in a fast-paced cocktail-centric environment as a Bartender
