About the position:
Iris is looking for individuals that are highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, dedicated to the hospitality industry, humble, team players, a desire to learn, respectful and honest.
Prospective hires must have a minimum of 2 years experience working as a bartender to apply. Candidates will be expected to follow direction diligently, preparing drinks in a consistent and professional manner. All drink preparations will be made in house, therefore hands on prep will be required to prepare for service. Servers must be well acquainted with POS systems, guest interaction and have an extensive classic beverage knowledge.

About Iris and Restaurant Nisei:
Iris will be an upscale craft cocktail bar opening in Russian Hill. Lead by our Bar Manager Ilya Romanov (Beehive, Dorian, Niku Steakhouse), the bar will feature inventive cocktails based on seasonality and Japanese influence. With the attached outdoor park-let, Iris intends to serve high end cocktails to the patrons of Russian hill and establish itself as one of the top bars in San Francisco as quickly as possible.
Next door to Iris is, restaurant Nisei, a premier fine dining Californian Japanese establishment. Started in 2019 as a pop-up, Nisei has evolved over several years before establishing its home in Russian hill at the previous La Folie restaurant. The format of the menu will be a tasting menu and the style of cuisine can be described as modern innovative take on Japanese American cuisine with a base in Washoku (Japanese home-cooking). Owner David Yoshimura (Californios, Ishikawa, WD~50) is also a certified Sommelier and stresses the importance of being a well-rounded hospitality professional through hands on mentorship.
