Job Details

We are a neighborhood, family friendly and family owned and operated Mexican restaurant. We are looking for a unique individual to grow with our company as we look to expand in 2022 on our new Mexican concept.

Our executive chef is responsible for managing and overseeing the kitchen. It is his/her job to plan the menu, train the cooks and run the kitchen in a fiscally responsible way while embracing our company’s goals and values. Keys to success include, but are not limited to:

  • Creative chef capable of celebrating seasonal ingredients in Mexican cuisine
  • Quality and consistency of food preparation
  • Excellent rapport with staff and owner
  • Strong leader with ability to build and grow a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong focus on cleanliness of stations, staff and kitchen as a whole
  • Fiscally responsible demonstrated through labor and food costs
  • Knowledge of Mexican Cuisine

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead menu development
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking SOPs, in line with operational priorities
  • Oversee staff scheduling, costing analysis and inventory management
  • Develop and implement an internal leadership development framework, providing mentoring, coaching and training opportunities at varying levels of seniority
  • Ensure that safety is a priority, including but not limited to food preparation, employee hygiene, temperature checks, and cleaning protocols
  • Work closely  on defining long-term business goals and objectives
  • Have a working knowledge of kitchen management, inventory management, staff scheduling and food/labor cost maintenance
  • Maintaining food safety standards at an A grade from the Department of Health standards
  • Manage the line and assure food quality and presentation during service
  • Maintain BOH facilities Manage food and BOH labor costs to established targets

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $80,000.00)
