320 Market Café, a landmark Media Business is accepting resumes for the position of General Manager. The right candidate will have excellent organizational skills, experience in retail grocery sales, and a talent for interacting with guests and creating repeat business. This is a hands-on floor management position, working alongside your team while developing, training, and supporting a valued staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years management experience in the day-to-day operations of a busy retail business. A history of working with organizations who embrace management process and principles.
- P&L and Inventory management experience with proven results
- Experience in purchasing dairy, produce, perishables, retail, alcohol - a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and POS systems
- Knowledge and experience with the current trends in food trends and social media
- Strong administrative, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal skills in communicating with customers, staff, department managers, owners, and suppliers
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Owner and Head of Operations in driving the business to meet and exceed budgeted sales and operational costs
- Shift Management – Either opening or closing responsibility daily
- Maintaining pre-established policies and procedures
- Maintain proper inventories of all products
- Recruit, hire, train and develop an exceptional staff to provide a superior level of service and hospitality
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment for our staff and guests
