Dry Creek Kitchen at Hotel Healdsburg mixes vibrant American cooking and world class bottlings with small town charm and true wine country hospitality. We are seeking passionate, enthusiastic, and creative culinary professionals who have a profound interest in food and wine, a strong desire to build culinary knowledge, and a drive to meet the highest standards in our profession.

Offering highly competitive compensation packages, you will work alongside Chef Charlie Palmer & our experienced Chef Team and assist with planning and managing the pastry program, along with creating menus and managing daily kitchen activities. The ideal candidate has a commitment to excellence, works well in a team environment, and has a desire to learn and grow under one of the most renowned Chef's and culinary brands in the country.

This position is based at Dry Creek Kitchen and operates the pastry program for all Hotel Healdsburg F&B outlets including: Dry Creek Kitchen, Spoonbar, Pizzando, The Rooftop, Harmon Guest House.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with developing seasonal dessert menus and baking program
  • Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment
  • Planning of custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions 
  • Ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking
  • Operating and maintaining the pastry section of the kitchen and creating a successful working environment within the kitchen 
  • Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standard
  • Manage that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
  • Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as pastry chef, baker or relevant role
  • Has experience programming multiple F&B hotel amenities
  • A passion for hospitality, baking, and the guest experience
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
  • Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills 
  • The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
  • Creative & Team oriented

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75.00)
