Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage culinary program for high volume banquet events calendar
- Ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking
- Provide guidance to the kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Assist with developing new restaurant & event menus
- Ordering supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
- Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and manage budgetary concerns
- Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organization
- Manage that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
- Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a qualified kitchen
- A passion for hospitality, food and beverage, and the guest experience
- Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
- Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
- Creative & Team oriented
- Fine Dining experience a plus
