Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage culinary program for high volume banquet events calendar
  • Ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking
  • Provide guidance to the kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Assist with developing new restaurant & event menus
  • Ordering supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
  • Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and manage budgetary concerns
  • Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organization
  • Manage that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
  • Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a qualified kitchen
  • A passion for hospitality, food and beverage, and the guest experience
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
  • Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
  • Creative & Team oriented
  • Fine Dining experience a plus
