FULL-TIME PASTRY SOUS CHEF/PRODUCTION LEAD - MORNING SHIFTS
This is a sweet gig!
As the pastry sous chef, you will lead morning production for the restaurant, oversee pastry ordering, weekly inventory, schedules, and execute menu changes. You will have lots of creative freedom with weekly specials and seasonal menu changes. Your schedule is flexible, 5 days a week with an average of 40 hours per week. (This is not a PM pastry plating position.) We are a new restaurant with a large kitchen and a well-equipped pastry department. Your coworkers are team-oriented and hard-working and pride themselves on maintaining a positive work environment.
- Candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work independently
- Positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with Executive Chef and management is a must
- At least 2 years pastry experience in fast-paced restaurant kitchen
- Reliable transportation to Winnetka
- Weekend availability
- Able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation: Based on Experience - starting at $20/hr
