Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels in NYC is hiring a part- or full-time sommelier to join the team!
This is a perfect role to step out of the high-intensity fine dining realm without stepping down in terms of quality of wines & food you'll be selling & tasting. You'll be joining a team of professional, hard-working folks who value work-life balance & a fun work environment built around hospitality, high standards, & creativity.
Part-time is 2-3 nights/wk. Full-time is 3-4 nights/wk. Must have ability to work weekends.
Strong wine knowledge and fine dining experience preferred but not mandatory.

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Own all of the service of wine and food in your respective section, from order taking to clearing.
- If you have some free moments, or if you see someone is in need of help, ask your colleagues how you can best jump in and offer assistance. We are a team and we need to help out as such.
- If you are busy and in need of help, ask for help
- Maintain expert knowledge of by-the-glass wine list
- Maintain very good working knowledge of entire wine list
- Assist Wine Director(s) in maintaining orderliness of the wine cellar, wine lists, and wine program in general. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and go up and down stairs.
- Assist Maitre d’ at the door, when need be, in welcoming guests and updating Resy accurately
- Basic accounting needs for tallying & reporting tips
- Assist with light side work when guests’ needs are tended to
