About Momofuku Noodle Bar Uptown
Founded by Chef David Chang, Momofuku Noodle Bar first opened in New York City’s East Village in 2004. At this second location in The Shops at Columbus Circle, the menu includes ramen, buns, and a roster of dishes that change with the seasons. It also features a full bar.
The Momofuku Expeditor will be the connection between the BOH and FOH, serving as a main point of contact between the kitchen and the floor. It will be crucial to ensure smooth communication throughout our high volume and fast paced service.

Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
- Adhere to all company service standards and protocols
- Understand and execute food safety and allergies protocols
- Act as a liaison between the front and back of house for all food orders
- Manage all orders as they are received through the POS and communicate clearly and respectfully to the kitchen, including any special order requests
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items including major components, unfamiliar ingredients, appropriate utensils for service, and drop lines
- Maintain accurate timing for dish executing
- Responsible for ensuring that all dishes are checked for quality and appearance prior to leaving the kitchen
- Communicate 86s, menu changes, and/or other food related information to the FOH team
- Engage management for any guest issues or complaints
- Stock and prepare service related items, as needed
- Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
- Quickly and correctly transport food from the kitchen to the guest, as needed
- Support service team with table and floor maintenance, as needed, including, but not limited to: water service, clearing and cleaning tables and resetting tables with proper tableware, and polishing tableware
- Receive instruction from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectively
- Respond appropriately to any guest requests or issues by communicating effectively with the proper server or management
- Be knowledgeable of the restaurant and its history
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
Skills & Requirements
- 1-2 years of expediter experience
- Able to work standing for long periods of time
- High volume, fast paced restaurant experience
- Self-motivated & exceptional work ethic
- Multi-tasking & organizational skills
- Team player with exceptional communication skills
- Responds well to feedback and constructive feedback from management & co-workers
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 5 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
