To that end, we obsess over the details, from sustainable sourcing of high-quality ingredients to making sure that all of our menu items are made in-house, from scratch, daily. 


THE OPPORTUNITY:


The Catering Director will lead the growth and development of the Sweetfin catering and events business. This high-performing professional will be the lead team member in our catering department and will be responsible for operating, and growing our evolving catering and events business, establishing strategic relationships with internal cross-functional partners and external vendors, developing and implementing marketing and promotional campaigns, and enhancing all aspects of the end-to-end catering and events experience.



SALES BUILDING:


  • Applicant must have a current book of business that covers Southern California
  • Make daily follow up calls on all orders to thank the guest for choosing Sweetfin, make sure everything went well, and ask if we can serve them again
  • Canvass for new business, schools and other community groups in trade area to generate catering sales
  • Contact new and lapsed catering customers via phone or email to solicit for new catering orders
  • Utilize local store marketing tactics to increase awareness of the catering program
  • Attend appropriate trade area community events to increase awareness of the catering program
  • Partner with the restaurant’s General Manager to follow-up on “warm leads” in the trade area
  • Track catering sales leads in the CRM database
  • Actively develop and manage relationships with past, current, and future clients, local businesses, and other networking channels to successfully promote Sweetfin catering and events programming



OPERATIONS: 


  • Provide consistently clear direction and timely communication of client needs to store general managers, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of catering and private and public events
  • Manage all aspects of catering sales, from fielding inquiries, client meetings to developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and confirming payment
  • Collaborate with the restaurant’s General Manager to identify and develop best practices for event execution for a stellar guest experience every time
  • Collaborate on sales goals and strategies with the Director of Marketing
  • Ensure client deposits and payments are collected and closed out in a timely manner and that they are accurate
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties and take on other assignments and special projects as needed
  • Answer assigned catering phone and respond to any voicemails, text messages, and emails in a timely manner
  • All other duties as assigned
  • This is a full-time, salaried position, with some weekend and evening hours required. Bonus based off of sales performance available 

ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORS


  • Utilizes tools and resources to effectively execute all components of their job.
  • Communicate regularly with in-store General Managers regarding staffing, preparation for large orders, and any other items they should be made aware of
  • Is a highly motivated self-starter
  • Takes direction and works independently
  • Works overtime as determined necessary by the Director of Marketing and Area Manager
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned
