Required Years of Experience
Chefs John & Karen Shields’ neighborhood destination, The Loyalist, is seeking an experienced and hospitality-focused staff, including one server for 4-5 shifts a week, a part time bartender, as well as a full-time server assistant/food runner. Responsibilities are owning the guest experience, extensive food and beverage menu knowledge, and most importantly making our 200+ guests a night feel welcomed! We're proud to work in a thriving, neighborhood restaurant that also attracts a great industry crowd.
The server and bartender positions require above-average wine knowledge along with craft spirits and beers. Our support roles are open to those who may not have experience but bring a positive attitude and attention to detail.
The Loyalist, located in the West Loop, features a French-focused a la carte menu that showcases locally grown ingredients. Our menu also features one of the best burgers in the country alongside parisian-style gnocchi, omelettes, and savory eclairs.
We seek candidates with fine dining experience, a passion for knowledge and growth, and a genuine interest in the art of hospitality. We prefer individuals with two years experience as a server or captain, and appreciate those who express curiosity and a passion for the industry. The Loyalist is a pooled house where teamwork is key.
All offers of employment are conditioned upon the candidate providing proof that they are fully-vaccinated (i.e. two weeks after the second shot for a 2-dose vaccine such as Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson). Of course, we are willing to consider requests for accommodation on an individualized basis.
Compensation: Hourly ($9.00) plus tips
