This is a unique opportunity for someone to join an energetic team and have room for future progress. Waiters and waitresses should be excited to work in an entrepreneurial environment and have the ambition to grow with a company hungry to expand in the future. We are looking for driven employees that is excited about bringing the best service to the customers.

SCOPE OF POSITION

Waiters are responsible for the successful daily operations of the front of house of the restaurant. This requires coordinating multiple activities at once, while maintaining high standards of food, service, health, and safety. Key responsibilities of this position include customer service, POS duties, and ad hoc tasks that come up on a day to day basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies, we will teach and training you all about our selection of wine)
    • Offer menu recommendations upon request
    • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
    • Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization
    • Check customers' IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
    • Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
    • Serve food and drink orders
    • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
    • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
    • Deliver checks and collect bill payments
    • Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
    • Follow all relevant health department regulations
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests

    QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
    • High School Diploma.
    • Possess basic math skills and knowledge of point of sales systems in previous employment.
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to proactively handle all staff and guest requests or concerns quickly with caring and fairness. Spanish is not mandatory but will be a big plus.
    • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
