GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for leading the Front of House (FOH) team members in running an efficient and profitable operation, managing day-to-day store operations, maintaining high service standards and conditions and fostering a positive environment.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONS 
  • Promotes, works and acts in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of the company 
  • Coach and develop a team of high performing FOH and BOH staff by exemplifying our Core Values
  • Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the restaurant  
  • Maintain exceptional standards of professionalism and hospitality 
  • Communicate daily with the Executive Sous Chef and BOH managers to ensure FOH and BOH team leaders and supervisors are aligned for expected business needs  
  • Develop a strong and positive rapport with both staff and guests alike 
  • Maintain safe, secure and a healthy facility environment by following and enforcing sanitation  standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security  systems 
  • Maintain an A letter grade from the DOH and confirm the all FOH and BOH management conduct DOH walk-throughs to ensure DOH compliance; Address all DOH violations immediately 
  • Promote and practice safe work habits through trainings, education and day-to-day management
  • Identify and resolve potential safety hazards; Ensure accidents are documented following proper  procedure  
  • Ensure that all Nami Nori drink and food recipes and procedures are followed, maintaining the  highest quality and consistent product standards  
  • Take ownership of all facilities issues and facilitate repairs in house or through outside vendors
  • Own all financial management of the restaurant - scheduling and ordering to budget, P&L management and achieve or exceed budgeted annual controllable profit
STAFF MANAGEMENT 
  • Train, supervise, manage, coach and counsel the FOH and BOH management and hourly team members
  • Monitor staff schedules and maintain weekly labor costs  
  • Manage team in their daily responsibilities, providing clear, effective direction  
  • Serve as an educator, as well as an inspirational, committed and responsible leader to the  restaurant’s FOH and BOH team
  • Lead by example; actively work the floor with a hands-on approach, inspiring staff to deliver a  memorable food and beverage experience  
  • Consistently monitor, coach and encourage the team to meet Nami Nori’s service and  hospitality standards and constantly improve performance 
  • Resolve guest complaints and any interpersonal staff conflicts. Communicate immediately to DO and HR for any necessary disciplinary actions  
  • Facilitate on-going training and development of current staff and management to ensure that all team members  are educated on Nami Nori products and services 
  • Build morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is  encouraged 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Extensive Food and Beverage (F&B) knowledge
  • Highly motivated leader who inspires their team to achieve a high level of performance 
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes complete ownership of their work performance 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to build relationships and embrace change
  • Ability to solve problems independently and delegate as needed
  • Ability to work in a team and able to step outside the job role to assist in other roles 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept with restaurant related systems (POS system, reservations systems, delivery/pickup platforms, inventory management systems)
EXPERIENCE 
  • 3+ years of high volume restaurant experience at a similar caliber restaurant 
  • Previous management experience required
