About Sereneco

Opening in Greenpoint this summer, Sereneco is an all-day, New American Restaurant in a light-filled, welcoming space.  Our nourishing, vegetable-forward, seasonal-inspired menu is designed to bring out the very essence of every ingredient, while our space focuses on life’s simple pleasures—natural finishes, abundant space and light, and harmonious design.  We are looking for talented individuals to join our team!

Description

The FOH Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing that all activities are in accordance with standardized restaurant policies in order to provide efficient, friendly service and profitable operations.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

  • Assisting owner/GM with staffing responsibilities, including hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating
  • Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, a respectful work environment, and good morale among employees
  • Delivering excellent customer service including personally greeting, seating and checking in on guests
  • Resolving complaints from customers in a polite, friendly manner
  • Participating in weekly meetings with the owner/GM and other management team members about refining restaurant operations
  • Completing duties for other employees (e.g., bartender, server, barista etc.) when necessary because of an unexpected absence or extra volume
  • Purchasing all beverage and bar supplies
  • Working with owner/GM on developing seasonal beverage lists

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstration of sufficient reading and math skills to read manuals and prepare computer reports as required; hospitality and restaurant management certification or college degree preferred
  • Previous restaurant experience required; previous management and staff training experience preferred
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Beverage / bar management experience is a plus
