Ruffian is a natural winebar in the East Village. We have a Michelin Bib Gourmand and a New York Times Critic's Pick.We are looking for a full-time candidate with an extensive background in service, preferably with some as a server or sommelier in a wine driven restaurant. She, he or they must bring the precision of high level service with the pace and fun of a bar environment. We are a vegetarian restaurant with both a 4-course tasting menu and a la carte options for snacking or a full dinner. Ruffian is a busy restaurant. You must be able to work late hours, often until 12:30am, in a physical job and sometimes in stressful situaltions, while maintaining postive character and good service. We are a tightly knit team and expect everyone to be part of a healthy community. Knowledge and passion for food and wine is essential: our list is inspired by the ancient history of wine, from countries like Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Republic of Georgia and Greece.
