Position Title: Floor Manager

Position Summary
The Floor Manager is responsible for supporting the overall operation of The Barish. Key responsibility areas include department performance, increased sales and profitability, effective cost controls and development, training and retention of key associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Supports and supervises restaurant, bar and lobby operations efficiently and effectively within the restaurant’s fiscal and operational guidelines in the absence of the General Manager.
• Support the General Manager in meeting or exceeding budgeted sales and profit goals, maintain labor efficiency ratios to ensure guest service and cost effectiveness.
• Support the operation by ensuring associates complete side work, set-up and clean-up the bar daily and conduct inspections accordingly. Approve all comps, voids, etc. Ensure all maintenance and housekeeping issues are reported to the appropriate departments.
• Engage and make contact with every guest.
• Respond to guest comments and criticism in a constructive and positive manner, looking at such as an opportunity to build guest satisfaction. Educate and empower associates to act in a similar capacity.
• Ensure a safe and secure work and bar environment for associates and guests.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Execute coaching and disciplinary conversations with appropriate documentation and follow- up.
• Participate is monthly inventory and assist in supply tracking and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 – 2 years of prior Bar/Restaurant experience in a supervisory role.
• Previous Hospitality Experience Preferred

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
None required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Maintain cash handling procedures are followed by staff and ensure all cash tips are allotted to appropriate staff.
• Assist in conducting regular associate/departmental meetings and administer counseling, discipline to associates as necessary and provide training and recognition to employees at all levels to maintain a team-oriented environment.
• Assist in staffing bar with quality employees who value guest service and are committed to high standards of performance.
• Utilize established methods for interviewing and reference checks using tools provided by Human Resources.
