Job Details
Michelin starred Don Angie, and West Village Italian GEM is seeking an experienced Captain with Italian wine knowledge.

  • Signing bonus payable at 90 days.
  • Robust Employee Referral Program for Quality Branded pays up to $2500 for employee referrals; no limit on number of referrals of great team players.
Position Summary:
This position represents the restaurant with the highest levels of hospitality, professionalism and sanitation safety in a fine dining atmosphere. A Captain must interact with restaurant guests, staff members, and management in a professional and collaborative manner to create an exemplary and safe dining experience.

Position Requirements:
• Available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• 100% -- Walks and stands during entire shift.
• Must be able to frequently seize, grasp, and hold objects with hands.
• 75% - Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
• Must be able to move, carry and lift at least 50 pounds with frequency throughout shift.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to all state and local regulations to serve alcohol.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
• Possess excellent communication skills with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Able to clearly and accurately communicate with guests and co-workers in English (including reading, writing, and speaking).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to multi-task.
• Knowledge of all menu items served at restaurant, as well as general knowledge of food, wine, and other beverages.
• Knowledge of standard and classic restaurant service procedures including wine service.
• Must be a team player.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and sanitation skills according to Department of Health standards for hygiene and safe food handling.
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols issued by Center for Disease Control
