Modern American Brasserie opening in downtown Oakland in August ‘21 is looking for strong, experienced servers to join our amazing team of hospitality professionals. We are seeking individuals that are team players, highly motivated, eager to learn and pass on knowledge and are honest.

Ideal candidates should have several years of high-volume, high-level serving experience but Tribune will train the right team member with the necessary skills and provide them with the tools to succeed in the hospitality profession. Being a team player is a necessary  and essential quality for providing a great guest experience. Candidates should also come with a desire to learn about food, beer, wine, and spirits from all over the world. They also must have great energy, help cultivate a positive, professional workplace culture and be passionate about providing excellent service. There is a possibility of progression within the company if there is an interest in growing with us.

Tribune will have French influences throughout the menus but will also be driven by California’s seasonality. Located in the iconic Tribune building on 13th and Franklin Streets, a beacon in downtown Oakland. Tribune will serve as a place to gather with friends, enjoy brasserie favorites, exceptional cocktails, and warm hospitality. The menu pulls influences from Executive Chef Omri Aflalo’s French culinary training while embracing the year-round seasonality of the Bay Area. Darrin Ballon, who leads the front of house and beverage program, will lean on his extensive experience in fine dining to showcase new iterations of classic cocktails while highlighting local breweries, wineries and distillers as well as wine producers from some of the other high-quality regions of the world.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($14.64) plus tips
