Job Details
As part of the internationally renowned photography museum from Stockholm, Fotografiska. The multi concept space includes a restaurant named Veronika a nod to Veronica, the patron saint of photography. Inspired by the grand cafes that populated London, Paris and Vienna before the turn of the 20th century, the menu draws inspiration from France, Austria and Eastern Europe, prioritizing seasonality and sustainability through local sourcing.

However, great food and a beautiful restaurant are not enough to keep people coming back. We are currently seeking Captains & Sommeliers who possess a genuine passion for food and beverage and, above all, a focus on providing an unparalleled guest experience.

Qualified Captains will have:
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Metropolitan restaurants in a similar role (i.e. Captain, Lead Server, or Fine Dining Server)
  • Sincere sense of hospitality and warm, engaging personality
  • Strong food knowledge, with ability to articulate menu selections while providing a unique dining experience
  • Able to improvise and make impromptu decisions in accordance with the cycle of service and the restaurant’s standards
  • Strong beverage knowledge including (understanding of wine styles, grape varietals and regions; spirits and classic cocktails; and beer styles)
  • Able to lead a team through service by prioritizing tasks and the needs of guests respectively
Qualified Sommeliers will have:
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Metropolitan restaurants in a similar position
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation for food and the culture of dining
  • Experience in cataloguing, organizing, and binning wine, inventory
  • Ability to multi-task; including but not limited to BTG pours, wine bottle inquiries, decanting, serving, and clearing tables, and assisting in all areas of service
  • Strong beverage knowledge including (Understanding of wine styles, grape varietals and regions; spirits and classic cocktails; and beer styles)
  • Wine certification such as WSET, CMS, or SWE is highly desirable
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Metropolitan restaurants in a similar position

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($10.00) plus tips
