The Chop Shop is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable butcher.
The Butcher position duties include maintaining display cases, fabricating specific cuts of meat (full and partial animal, primal, and sub-primal cuts), poultry, making fresh sausages, small batch charcuterie in-house, and assisting in kitchen activities along with minimal interaction with customers via phone and for take out orders.
About Chop Shop:
Chop Shop features a full in-house butcher and deli operation, two dining areas for our restaurant (upstairs the "Butcher's Brother" (seating 75) and patio (seating 75) and downstairs Butcher Bar (holding 70 people). There is also a multi-functional 6,000 SF event space in back that can hold up to 450 people. The venue hosts concerts, food festivals, and a wide variety of public and private events.
The restaurant focuses on working with fresh local ingredients and providing a warm and friendly experience. We take great pride in our ability to offer amazing food in the restaurant that is cooked with the same product you can buy right from our in house butcher and market operation.
