Quince, Chef Michael Tusk’s highly acclaimed San Francisco restaurant, seeks individuals who are passionate about food and wine to join our hospitality team as Captains.
As a captain, you are part of a hospitality team committed to providing a caring and thoughtful guest experience. You will manage a service team, including food runners, back servers and sommeliers and are responsible for the foundational elements of service for our guests. At Quince, this is achieved through a mastery of technical service skills, peer collaboration, an informative approach to the menu and product, and an inherent welcoming and professional demeanor.
Ideal candidates will have 2 years of previous fine dining service experience in a chef-driven restaurant, and we will train the right candidate in all aspects of their position.
Located in the historic neighborhood of Jackson Square, Quince is a Three star Michelin star restaurant that features California contemporary cuisine with seasonally-driven menus that change daily, with much of the produce coming directly from the restaurant’s own Farm located in nearby West Marin County.

The James Beard Foundation awarded Chef Michael Tusk The James Beard Award Best Chef – Pacific for his cuisine at Quince. In addition, Tusk, along with Quince, have been nominated for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Service, James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Chef and Outstanding Restaurant.
