Diner, the pioneering farm-to-table restaurant in Brooklyn, which for over two decades has been committed to excellent food, beverage and service is seeking a Lead Line Cook/BOH Supervisor. Housed in a 1920s Pullman dining car, Diner is an iconic business focused on creating a unique and thoughtful version of food and hospitality.

Diner works with products from local and organic sources, supports a whole animal butchery program and has deep connections with the farm community that sustains it, serving outstanding food that highlights these relationships and connections.

We are a small team that works together toward the goal of making the best possible product. The Lead Line Cook/Supervisor will report directly to the Chef and Sous Chef, manage the team through prep and service and be knowledgeable of standard culinary techniques and protocols. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to see all aspects of how a small food business runs and is ready to fully participate in the life of the restaurant. You should bring detail and care to your work, be focused, curious and communicative.

This is a nighttime position that requires open availability, including weekend work.
