The Role - Dom's Store Shopper Assistant Manager

Store Shopper Assistant Manager Are you motivated at the prospect of strategizing, planning, developing and executing the overall scope of Dom’s Kitchen & Market Ecommerce department, owning the quality Ecommerce guest experience with your Ecommerce team end to end by building Dom’s Kitchen & Market brand and loyalty of your guests? Your expertise will provide the leadership and vision necessary to define and drive Dom’s Kitchen and Market Ecommerce business through your insight to personalize Ecommerce to each guest for a uniquely branded, richly-immersive and compelling Talk of the Town shopping experience! As the Ecommerce team leader, you will lead Dom’s Kitchen & Market dynamic Ecommerce team dedicated to delivering Talk of the Town Guest Service!

Responsibilities - Store Shopper Assistant Manager

Dom’s Kitchen and Market Store Shopper Assistant Manager will support the Store Shopper Manager with total Ecommerce department operations and Ecommerce team responsibility that merges your love for people – both team members and guests – with operational excellence. You are expected to personally understand the guest Ecommerce process and guest experience. You will be:

  • Expected in the absence of the Store Shopper Manager, to lead the Ecommerce operation
  • Measured and rewarded by your ability to support the Store Shopper Manager to deliver Talk of the Town Guest Service, drive optimal Ecommerce team performance, maintain Ecommerce operations/achieve financial targets
  • Responsible as the secondary guest contact for Ecommerce inquiries/concerns with expedient follow-up/resolve
  • Expected to assist with successfully training, developing, retaining, mentoring and motivating Dom’s Kitchen & Market first-class Ecommerce team leading to inspired teamwork creating an inviting atmosphere for Ecommerce guests
  • Expected to assist with work duties across Ecommerce department including shopping and cross-training of team
  • Accountable to support Ecommerce department timely scheduling/notify Store Shopper Manager of daily adjustments necessary for maximum productivity/high standards of quality that align to business needs and budgeted labor goals
  • Expected to assist with managing the workflow of Ecommerce team to guarantee orders are ready on-time for pickup and communicating immediately any issues with Store Shopper Manager 
  • Challenged daily with Ecommerce team to provide quick, efficient, timely, accurate product selection, freshest quality, in-code products, accurate pricing, quality packing and bagging of all products
  • Responsible to ensure that Ecommerce team shops quickly/efficiently with respect/regards to guests shopping in store
  • Accountable to maintain ideal process for product substitution and notification to guests
  • Responsible to support atmosphere of a personalized shopping experience for each guest resulting in Talk of the Town guest service, building extended relationships and goodwill with guests
  • Expected to deliver each Ecommerce guest pickup with engaging team member and quality pickup experience
  • Responsible to maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance program for Ecommerce area and equipment with organization of holding area and regular temperature checks of product holding for guests
  • Responsible to report to Store Shopper Manager accurate billing and payment of each Ecommerce order
  • Listening for the Voice of the Guest to identify Ecommerce trends for guest needs and expectations and counsel with Store Shopper Manager to integrate findings to deliver value and accelerate growth
  • Open to learning and growing for personal development
  • Expected to support Store Shopper Manager to deliver with Ecommerce team the transformative shopping experience that Dom’s Kitchen & Market will be legendary for!

  • 3+ years’ experience in retail operations, logistics or supply chain
  • 4 year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with retail Ecommerce operations preferred
  • Proven history of consistent engaging Guest Service experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills
  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making and financial analysis
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Sense of urgency, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time
  • Strong sense of team – desire to WIN together with a first-class team!

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities regularly: Walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • Walking 90% and sitting 10% of day
  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas and/or products
  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force often and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
  • Operating equipment (baler, compactor, power jack, six wheeler, carts)
  • Exposure to weather/outdoor elements
