Cotogna, is looking for skilled, career-minded individual in search of a rewarding and unique management position in the restaurant industry. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about ingredients, products, hospitality and education. Knowledge and curiosity for Italian food and wine is key. Required for the position is a genuine and intuitive sense of hospitality with a hands on commitment to warm, thoughtful and caring service.
Ideal candidate will have a strong background in staff training/education with the ability to inspire, coach and mentor. Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to successfully interact with an established clientele on a daily basis. Individual would be responsible for the restaurant's daily operations, dining room management and guest relations. Candidate must be confident to lead high energy, volume-driven services. Fluency in micros, open table and excel software required to manage labor controls, budgets and purchasing.
Adjoining the Michelin-starred, Quince Restaurant, Cotogna is a casual, busy venue with continuous service that offers a daily changing menu that celebrates the best of rustic Italian cuisine with spit roasted or grilled meats and fish, wood oven pizzas and house made pastas.
The position has growth potential and the ability to explore a number of career opportunities
At least 2 years experience as an Assistant General Manager in a similar concept
Experience with MICROS and OpenTable, and Excel.
Knowledge of regional Italian food and Italian wine growing regions a plus
Ability to comply with all health and safety regulations
Ability to traverse a restaurant setting fast and safely
Abilty to lift up to 40 pounds at a time
