Bayberry Garden, opening spring 2021, is looking for a Beverage Manager/AGM who can match our enthusiasm for great beer, wine, and cocktails! You will be the person who “brings the party” while waxing poetic about the origin story of a favorite distiller, brewer, or wine maker. You know how to entertain a crowd, are comfortable being the center of attention, and can warmly dole out attention to our guests. You will be the General Manager’s right hand person; contributing to creative programming, staff training, managing beverage inventories, and purchasing beverage product and wares. You should excel at completing work you can be proud of, in a timely manner, while being respectful of others’ time, space, energy, lifestyle, hygiene and humanity.

The ideal candidate must:

- have approximately 4 years of FOH service experience; 2 years of that in a fine-dining or casual fine-dining setting; and, 1 year of management experience. 

- be able to multi-task and prioritize a high volume of tasks quickly and efficiently. 

- work well and play nice with others. 

- be outgoing, fun, and friendly.

- have a genuine curiosity for and appreciation of food, beverage, and hospitality. 

- stay cool under pressure. 

Bonus points for:

- being certified as a Food Safety Manager in RI.

- sommelier or cicerone certification.

- insane Tetris skills.

Bayberry Beer Hall is opening “big sister” restaurant, Bayberry Garden! Located in Providence’s Innovation District, Bayberry Garden will be a casual-fine dining experience with ample outdoor seating, a locally-driven menu, and, international beverage program of thoughtfully crafted beers, wines, and cocktails.

This position requires a certain level of physical activity. Applicants should be able to stand/walk for 8+ hours, maneuver through tables and chairs, and, lift and carry moderate sized and/or heavy objects (for example, a case of wine).
